The Training Design and Facilitation course is for people who want to improve their training and facilitation skills and who want to pursue their careers in training field. By the end of this course, participants will be able to lead and conduct training effectively, use experiential learning and other participatory approaches in designing and facilitating workshops, better understand theory and practice of training, and meet their participants’ specific needs and interests. The workshop will be conducted in Myanmar language.

🕹 Training Method: This online training will use an online platform to meet face-to-face on Saturday & Sunday from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and Tuesday from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Even though the training will be conducted online, the quality will not be reduced as participants will be exposed to many different activities online and active participation is a must.
Course materials including PowerPoints, reading materials and handouts will be available online in soft copies. As participants can browse and learn those resources according to their available and comfortable time, it will be very supportive for their learning.

Trainer Profile
Sai Aung Thein is Co-founder and Training Consultant for Magga Education. He holds a Master of Art in Sustainable Development with Training Specialization from SIT Graduate Institute, Brattleboro, Vermont, U.S.A. He was a Fulbright scholar and studied Training Design for Experiential Learning and Training of Trainers: Ethics and Design as specialization fields. He also holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Communication: International Journalism from Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong. Sai Aung Thein is a former Associate Director and Advocacy and Training Advisor for Institute for Political and Civic Engagement – iPACE, a program of World Learning – Myanmar, based at the American Center. He has developed and trained people from political and civil society organizations on many courses including TOT for Civic Educators, Inclusive and Sustainable Development, English Teacher Training, Democracy and Human Rights, Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation and many others.
